The Waterberg Plateau is just south east of the Etosha National Park, about 4 hours drive from Windhoek. The Waterberg Plateau is also called the Lost Eden because once on top of the plateau the animals can not get back down from it. This makes it an ideal place to also expel endangered species. In the park you can encounter large elk, white rhinos, Cape vultures, a large (200+) variety of birds and various antelopes (Roan, Sables). In addition, the park is known for the long (guided) safari / bush walks.
